Sally and I had a double-date with my parents last Sat. It wasn't the first. Only this time, we met up with my paternal uncle & aunties and he finally saw the ugly side of my life, the type of uncles & aunties i have. Not that i hate them or anyth, there's just like this conspiracy against my family or sth. Ah well, not that i can forever look at everyth thru' a rose-tinted glass or rather remain in a fool's paradise. This is life, it's not only about the Haa-haa-hee-hee. (HAHAHA) Sally kinda felt the vibe and he saw thru' my mum. I'm glad he did his part by understanding. You rock, babe.(-:

Oh btw Happy boy, Happy Twenty-Third today. A month away to a new pact. (-;

Ok people, this is gonna be an awfully long post.
I had my full medical check-up yday at Healthway. Delirious, i tell you.

First, the nurse gave me a cup to pee in. And i spent like five minutes in the toilet to strategically plan where i should place the cup, like what Fad said, "Girls have three holes ok!", she too had a funny urine experience which she publicly told us in the bus. HAHAHA.

On my way to the clinic, i had a go at 500ml of plain water so that by the time i had to pee in the cup, the urge to pee was alr there. It was my first time doing that and all i could collect was a drop in the cup. Pa-the-tic much. HAHA. I even attempted to drink water from the tap thinking that i had a bionic bladder that works MAHA(HAHAHA, i had to use that word) fast and i'd eventually pee within the next few seconds. After counting to ten, i tried again. Futile attempt. So, I went out of the toilet with a pitiful face and lamented, "I don't have the urge to pee yet." She chuckled and offered me water but i refused coz' i had 500ml of water left in my bottle. I guess Sally was right. He warned me about not peeing in the morning first.

I finished what i had left in my bottle and the nurse agreed to take my Height & Weight first and then followed by my eye-check. The H&W went alright but not the eye-check. She was laughing at me, well i, too, was laughing at myself. Let's say, she pointed at a number, and i saw it as 2. Then she moves on to another number. Then when she goes back to the previous number, instead of seeing it as 2, i saw it as 3. She had a good laugh, i must say especially after i told her i have a perfect eyesight. Tskk.

"Take your blood test first, ok."

That very sentence sent jitters to every part of my body. I have needleophobia, if you get what i mean. Hahaha. The doctor checked my blood pressure and she said i'm perfectly fit, sth pleasant to the ears at least before she 'poked' my vein. I was inquisitive the moment i stepped in.

"Is is gonna be painful?"
Doc: "Yeah, it's gonna be slightly painful."

HOW REASSURING RIGHT TELLING THAT TO A GIRL WHO IS TAKING HER FIRST BLOOD TEST EVER.

"Is the needle thick."
Doc: "To me is not, but to the receiving end it is."

DAMN. At that moment, she was already applying alcohol to my wrist. Oh yea, she decided on the wrist instead of the inner arm hinge coz' my vein was much 'clearer' there. In my heart i was like what the hell, just get it over and done with, woman.

Doc: "Most importantly, don't move and bear with me ok."

Yeah, like i was so planning to cringe, wince and squirm. -.- she slowly poked the freakin 1mm thick needle (go check your ruler and don't you dare tell me that 1mm is not thick) and pulled the top of the syringe only to see that there was no blood. Her hand was shaking the whole time and i was like "SHIT SHIT SHIT" silently. She then swerved the needle, imagine swerving the needle while like a third of it was still in my vein. A bit of blood came out this time.

Curiously i asked, "No blood right?"
Doc: "Yeah. This is strange. I might have to take it again from your other hand."

FREAKIN WONDERFUL. LIKE ONE WASN'T ENOUGH. But the pain was bearable.
Whatta revelation! :-) It wasn't as painful as i expected it to be coz' the whole time, i had the p6 BCG story in my head.

While applying the alcohol on my other wrist, she chanted to herself, "Cannot miss it this time, cannot miss it." This time round, i looked as she poked the needle through my skin and thank God, there was blood collected in the syringe tube. And i thought it was gonna be smooth after that until she pushed some of my blood back into my vein coz' she took too much. Omgosh, i could feel the pressure of the blood being pushed back. Luckily, she took the needle out all in one piece. HAHA.

Doc: "I'm sorry you had to go through the ordeal twice."
"Nah, it's okay. Thanks."

I walked out of the room and showed my mum my plastered wrists.
"She missed my vein the first time" and i laughed. Damn sadistic. HAHA.

And for the second time, i went to the toilet to collect my pee in a cup. Thankfully, this time i collected just enough.

Before i went off, the nurse told me to wait.

Nurse: Your urine's positive.
Mum: Positive what? Got sugar? Or pregnant?
Nurse: No lah. Positive protein. So at your next visit, you hafta take again ok. Drink lotsa plain water. That's all. Have a nice day!

Lolwth, my mum actually thought i was positive pregnant. HAHAHA. So now i hafte like drink 8 glasses of water daily. I just finished my 5th cup for today, 3 more to go. Check out my new mantra man, "Just keep drinking, just keep drinking." (Sing it to Dory's tune.)

So please, to spare yourself the agony that i went through, do not enrol yourself into a health-related course at NP or at least, go to a better doctor :D

If only i could just talk to everyone and speak my mind without thinking twice whether i'll hurt their feelings or not.

I've got a couple to say to you.
C'mon, we've been friends for yearrrrrrrrrrrrrrs dude. Wth, at least i think we still are. Used-to-be bestfriends and ultimatum comrads as you would call it but now. It's hard to even get you to reply to my texts. You don't even as far as i know, acknowledge me. I believe that every r/s has their own system and if that's the only way you/she'll be happy then alright.

Coz' right now, i'm missin' that boy who sat next to me during Eng lessons in pri sch, i'm missin that boy who'd pinch my ear everytime i said sth stupid, i'm missin my bestfr who texted me g'night on TK's 50th Anniversary, i'm missin that boy who would be the first to nudge me or start a convo everytime i appeared online, i'm missin that boy who'd give me a testi on friendster every now and then, i'm missin that boy who'd tag on my blog frequently, i'm missin that boy who was there for me and told me that he had my back on Choir SYF day, i'm missin that boy who promised bougainvillas if i clinched GWH on comp day, i'm missin that boy whom i bought cupcakes for on his birthday though he never even get to see them, what more eat them, i'm missin that boy who went to school via the airport route, it was always a mystery whether i'll see you or not. I'm missin that very boy but i guess, that boy's now a different person. I'm glad that you've found your happiness in her. Nevertheless, i'm happy for you as a friend. Happy's an understatement in fact. I'm just sad that i've lost you in the process of you finding for your true happiness and everyth special that we had was jeopardized. But hey, it's alright. I've said my piece and i've learnt to respect your decision. I mean, who would like their other half to be close to another girl besides herself. All i'm asking you to just treat me like a friend coz' the way i'm seeing things now, we're becoming Hi-Bye friends. And trust me, while i was writing this, there wasn't even a tinge of jealousy. All i felt was regret. I'm utterly sorry if my post caused you discontentment.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SALLY, i love you nonetheless. We're comin to two years. And we've been thru' alot literally. You've been with me thru the highs and the lows and i can never thank you enough for that. I'm just glad that Allah sent me an angel like you to not just keep me company but also to bring me closer to Him. We've been havg some rough times lately but i can assure you that whatever happens, you'll have me. Forever and ever, babe or rather to infinity and beyond! (-: Despite all that has happened, i know we'll stay strong and for me to give up two years of r/s just like that, wasted right. I'm sure being with me is a tough job but really, kudos to you, my dear.

(Omgosh, don't mind me for my corniness please. I'm feelin sentimental. HAHA.)

I might not appreciate you much at times but you have my heart. It's stupid to promise forever coz' i'll never know if God has a better girl in store for you. But as long as we last, til the day we separate, you'll continue to have my heart. I suddenly remembered that accident you were in. I'd probably suffer from depression now if He took you away but I've been thanking The Almighty every day for givin me a chance to take care of you a little longer, to treasure you more than before and to make you happy every day of my life. And i really thank God that your car's a continental car or your chances would have shrunk from 99% to less than 50%. Despite the fact that you irritate the hell outta me and embarrass me in public, a day without all that makes me feel incomplete. A day without your ludicrous antics, your laughters, your smiles, your WINKS, is nothing. I'm accustomed to sharing part of my life with you and i know it'd be hard once school starts though you're only an MRT stop away. Hahaha. But we'll get thru it right, dear? I'm excited, really excited and am anticipating how far our r/s can go and how much it'll be able to take. However gay all this may sound, it's true.

But I'm in so deep. You know I'm such a fool for you.

Ich Liebe Dich.
Love,
Syaq.

Yeah, today's the 6th and my heart is sinking for different reasons.

I was friendster surfing and i chanced upon a profile which happens to belong to Jaz's cousin and supposedly Sally's OBS friend. So this guy supports the local scene in Sg and much. He performs regularly at gigs and the awesome thing is that he plays the bass guitar as shown in all his gig-related pictures. He's one cool lad i must say, brave enough to bodysurf at moshpits.

I was looking thru's his pictures and i realise how much i miss performing. Be it as a choir girl or as a bassist to BD. I mean, we once had that dream of performing outside school and establishing our band as one of those top-notch ones in the c'try. Ambitious much. But without these dreams, things wldnt happen right? Oh wells, BD's pretty much an old story now. Kinda miss the adrenaline rush on stage and the inevitable screw-ups.

On another note, I also thought of joining an outside choir but nevertheless, lack of confidence became a hindrance for me. Though i can seek comfort on the fact that TK Choir will be inviting alumni to perform at their concert this dec. Long way to go but definitely something worth waiting for coz' i truly miss my fellow choristers.

Just a food for thought. (-:
And oh, dya think i'll make a good futsal team manager? HAHA.
